The 'Atval' range of
knife
gate valves has been developed to compliment its range of
pinch valves. In many
instances, they are supplied together to the same processing plants and
customers.
The design is extremely simple and includes a one-piece body, flat knife edged
blade and field replaceable seats to facilitate ease of maintenance. The valve
gets its name from the blade or gate, which has a 'knife-like' cutting edge. The
gate, which moves perpendicular to the direction of flow, provides a guillotine
action, which enables it to shear through semi liquid media such as pulp, paper,
sewage, slurry, fibrous and viscous materials.

| The product range is from 50mm to 1500mm with a maximum design
pressure of 10 Bar. Sizes up to 300mm are available in 16Bar design, which are
subject to special order. The temperature range is -20º to +330º centigrade.
